Relacja między wzrostem pracownika a płacą na polskim rynku pracy – czy wyżsi zarabiają więcej?

Abstract

Autorzy podejmują problem relacji między wzrostem pracownika a jego płacą na polskim rynku pracy. W artykule dokonano przeglądu literatury uzasadniającej możliwość występowania takiej relacji na gruncie teoretycznym. Przywołano również wyniki badań empirycznych dokumentujących występowanie relacji między wzrostem pracownika a jego płacą w wielu krajach. Podobne badania nie były jak dotąd publikowane w odniesieniu do Polski. Badanie empiryczne przeprowadzone w artykule opiera się na modelach regresji oszacowanych na danych ankietowych pochodzących z „Diagnozy Społecznej” prowadzonej przez Radę Monitoringu Społecznego. Uzyskane wyniki potwierdzają występowanie pozytywnej relacji między wzrostem pracownika a jego płacą – przede wszystkim wśród mężczyzn w wybranych grupach zawodowych.
