Além da Transação: Uma Comparação do Pensamento dos Institucionalistas com os Evolucionários e Pós-Keynesianos

Abstract

Esse texto discute o legado do pensamento institucionalista, a partir da contribuição de Veblen, Commons e Mitchell. A notável complexidade e amplitude da contribuição desses autores, embora inserida em um ambiente teórico por muitos considerado incipiente, é fonte de interação com várias abordagens, que vem permitindo avanços na agenda de pesquisa institucionalista. Dentre essas, discute-se aqui algumas interações do pensamento institucionalista entre si – como entre o Antigo Institucionalismo, a Nova Economia Institucional e os Neo-institucionalistas –, com os evolucionários e com os pós-keynesianos. Tal discussão explicita que o institucionalismo é bem mais abrangente do que o sugere a relevante contribuição da economia dos custos de transação.
