Restrições Financeiras em Cooperativas Agropecuárias Brasileiras

Abstract

As cooperativas são reconhecidas como instituições de direitos de propriedade vagamente definidos, o que amplia as limitações de acesso a recursos financeiros, restringindo os investimentos. Assim, objetivou-se analisar se as cooperativas agropecuárias brasileiras sofrem restrições financeiras e se as empresas agropecuárias de capital aberto também estão sujeitas a estas restrições. O período de análise foi de 1999 a 2007. Foram utilizados modelos econométricos de Dados em Painel e de Vetores Autorregressivos com Dados em Painel (PVAR). Os resultados indicaram que as cooperativas analisadas, dada suas características, são mais financeiramente restritas que empresas de capital aberto que atuam no mesmo segmento.
