Abstract

The results of new President elections in the USA - the victory of Donald J. Trump - were marked by significant economic decisions, in particular the introduction of a new cryptocurrency. Trump announced about this in advance and nevertheless the market price of new cryptocurrency soared at once. Essentially, this digital currency may become a new unit of account. Demand for the new cryptocurrency surpassed all expectations and was recieved with enthusiasm. However, in Western European countries the reaction was ambiguous. Supporters of the widespread use of cryptocurrencies excitedly await the introduction of digital euro. This decision is likely to have economic and social consequences.
