Modern technology brings a critical mass of global challenges in foreign economic activity. The answer requires the elaboration of theoretical provisions. The purpose of the article is to update research on global technology challenges as a thematic area. A review of 44 research papers from eLIBRARY.RU was conducted using the content analysis method. The novelty is represented by the classification of global technology challenges. It reveals the content and place of the topic in systems of a larger order. It promotes the meaningful use of terms. Further explanation of global technology challenges is required through a description of their elements.
