Abstract

The article presents an overview of research on the activities of the UK Export Finance (UKEF) – the UK government’s export credit agency (ECA) – the first ECA established more than 100 years ago. The main stages of its creation and development as a key institution of the government export support for UK businesses are described. The main tools used by the UKEF to support local suppliers, as well as their foreign buyers, are revealed in a structured manner. The key role of the UKEF in the implementation of «green» projects to counter climate change, designed to contribute to the preservation of Earth and hence to ensure sustainable human development.
