Abstract

China has become a major exporter of goods in the world economy supplying the foreign markets with production equipment and consumer goods. Chinese firms use both traditional sales channels providing for direct shipment from the exporter to the customer as well as indirect ones with the use of intermediaries. But in any case, there is an issue of choosing the most optimal payment instruments. The authors consider the nature and features of payment in inter-corporate B2B trade (bank transfer, letter of credit, collection) and when selling to end users (B2C) (pay- ment by bank cards and bank transfer).
