International trade in machines and equipment: dynamics and structure

Abstract

In the article the authors examine the role of engineering in industrialized countries, show the position of the leading countries in the world production of machinery and equipment. The analysis of the world engineering export structure as well as comparative analysis of the figures for 2011 - 2015 is presented. The data on the structural changes in Russia’s exports of machinery and equipment in the period under review and comparison of the structure of the world and Russia’s exports of important items (general machinery, electronic and electrical equipment, railway and rolling stock, vehicles, aircraft and vessels) are also provided.
