Las tarifas de gas natural en el Perú. Una comparación de modelos regulatorios

Abstract

La industria primaria de gas natural está compuesta por tres actividades principales: extracción, transporte y distribución. Los precios de transporte y distribución de gas natural están regulados en el Perú. El transporte de gas natural está regulado por el método de empresa modelo eficiente, y la distribución de gas natural está regulada por el método de empresa modelo eficiente, pero asignando precios para cada uso (generación de electricidad, industria, uso vehicular, y consumo doméstico) proporcionales a los sustitutos. Este estudio compara los precios de distribución de gas natural como se determinan en el Perú con los que se obtendrían bajo el modelo de empresa eficiente con asignación de precios proporcionales a los costos. Los efectos económicos y las recomendaciones se presentan como conclusiones.
