Las capacidades empresariales y la innovación: su relación con el desempeño y el empleo de las firmas argentinas

Abstract

Utilizando datos a nivel de firmas, este trabajo explora la relación entre las capacidades empresariales, la innovación y el desempeño de las firmas argentinas. Se encuentra que las prácticas de gestión son heterogéneas entre las firmas y las industrias, presentando una correlación positiva con los ingresos, la exportación y las variables del mercado laboral. Las firmas con mejores prácticas de gestión se asocian con una mayor probabilidad de innovar (en el margen extensivo) y con un mayor monto destinado a la inversión en innovación (en el margen intensivo). Asimismo, presentan una mayor probabilidad de obtener resultados en el proceso de innovación.
