Abstract

Latin America experienced a period of economic growth since 2003 which, together with the implementation of labor and social policies, had a positive impact on the working and living conditions of the population. This paper analyzes the intensity of the income fluctuations in Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Peru during the 2000s. The total mobility is broken down between increases and reductions in family income. Likewise, the different sources of these movements are analyzed since they can be the result of variations in remunerations, changes in the occupational status of members or experienced by non-labor incomes.
