Abstract

This article presents the way and mechanisms for financing agriculture both during the pre-accession period of Romania to the European Union and during the post-accession period, both in terms of their structure and the volume and size of the main sources of financing. The use of non-reimbursable pre-accession funds had in view the real absorption capacity of Romanian agriculture, a capacity that depends on the fulfillment of criteria regarding the economic size of the enterprise, the size of the holding, the degree of land marger and, last but not least, the level of competitiveness.
