Türkiye’de İhracat İle Konteyner Taşımacılığı Arasındaki İlişki Üzerine Bir Nedensellik Analizi

Abstract

Türkiye gibi gelişmekte olan ülkelerin ekonomilerinin dinamo taşı olarak ihracat faaliyetleri gösterilmektedir. Bu çalışmada da Türkiye’nin en önemli döviz girdisini oluşturan ihracat ile konteyner taşımacılığı arasındaki etkileşim incelenmiştir. Bu kapsamda çalışmanın ilk kısmında Türkiye’nin ihracat yapısı ve denizyolu konteyner taşımacılığındaki yeri tartışılmıştır. Uygulama kısmında ise 2005-2020 yılları arasında aylık bazlı ihracat rakamları ile ihraç malı yükleme rakamları arasındaki ilişki Toda ve Yamamoto tarafından 1995 yılında geliştirilen Toda-Yamamoto analizi ile test edilmiştir. İhracat rakamları Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu (TUİK) ve Türkiye İhracatçılar Meclisi (TİM) tarafından yayınlanan istatistikler, ihraç malı yükleme rakamları ise Denizcilik Genel Müdürlüğü, Deniz Ticaretini Geliştirme Daire Başkanlığı ve Planlama ve İstatistik Dairesi Başkanlığının hazırlamış olduğu konteyner cinsleri bazında elleçleme istatistikleri kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre; ihracattan TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit)’ye doğru nedensellik olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Yani ihracatta yaşanan değişimin elleçlenen konteyner sayısı ve TEU’yu etkilediği, TEU’da yaşanan değişimin ise ihracatı değiştirmediği dolayısı ile arasında bir nedensellik ilişkisi olmadığı ortaya konmuştur.
