Abstract
In the province of Almería is located one of the most important centers of production of out of season vegetables in Europe. For it is applied it Data Envelopment Analysis is used, with which it points out that this productive sector possesses a high pure technical efficiency, but it works at the zone of economies of scale, with over-sizing in some of the its productive factors. These and other results take to outline some strategies to implement in the sector, guided to palliate the scarce dimension of many of their agents and to reduce their levels of inefficiency.
