Abstract
En este trabajo se comparan las industrias agroalimentarias andaluza y valenciana con la espanola en 1995 utilizando tecnicas input-output. Tras revisar la literatura sobre interdependencia sectorial, antes de abordar su analisis empirico se examina la especializacion productiva, obteniendo algunas diferencias, aunque en ambos casos destacan los sectores tradicionales e intensivos en trabajo. El estudio de las ligazones directas entre las ramas permite no solo realizar una tipologia sectorial, sino tambien identificar las actividades que muestran miveles de desarrollo difrenciado, lo que podria servir como guia para mejorar el comportamiento de algunos sectores. las ligazones totales se han examindado mediante un nuevo modelo que combina aspectos de demanda y oferta, dada la complementariedad de ambas perspectivas. Su aplicacion a las tablas input-output de 1995 muestra el elevado potencial cuantitativo del sector agroindustrial, tanto para impulsar como, especialmente, captar el crecimiento...This paper compares the agro-food industries of Andalucia and Valencia with their Spanish counterparts in 1995 using input-output techniques. Before the empirical analysis, we review the literature concerning inter-sectoral relations and also show the structure of production in these economies. Although this analysis reveals some differences between the regions, in both of them prevail labor-intensive industries. In the input-output framework, the study of direct interdependences between sectors allows us to typify the industries and also identify the more advanced sectors. Total linkages are examined using a new input-output model that combines factors of supply and demand, showing the high relevance of agro-food industries to promote and, especially, to attract economic growth.
