Abstract

En el presente trabajo se calcula el valor de la cuota para in grupo de productores lecherose en Asturias, Para ello se estima una funcion de costes variables usando datos de panel de 71 explotaciones lechuras en el periodo 1993-1998. Una caracteristica improtante del modelo empleado es que permite que los costes marginales varien con el nivel de eficienvia economica de cada explotacion. De este modo, ek valor de las cuotas para las exploraciones puede relacionarse con su eficiencia productiva...In this paper, we compute the value of production quotas for a sample of dairy farms in Asturias. For that purpose, we estimate a variable cost function with panel data of 71 dairy farms in the years 1993-1998. An important feature of the model estimated is that marginal costs depend on the economic efficiency of each farm. As a result, it is possible to explore the linkages between efficiency and quota value.
