Tipificacion de zonas rurales a traves del analisis multivariante de informacion extraida de sistemas de informacion geografica. El caso de Tenerife

Abstract

Empleando tecnicas de los Sistemas de Informacion Geografica, se asigna un conjunto de 24 variables agrarias, sociodemograficas y territoriales a las 305 Entidades de Poblacion de Tenerife. Esta informacion estadistica se somete a un analisis miltivariante con la finalidad de elaborar una tipologia de zonas. Los resultados indican la existencia de 12 tipos de zonas, 3 urbanas ya 9 rurales, cuyas diferencias se explican por la especializacion agraria y los patrones de poblamiento...Information System techniques are used to create a data base with 14 agricultural, sociodemographic and territorial variables wich are scaled down to 305 Entidades de Poblcacion in Tenerife. Multivariate analysis is applied to these data in order to construct a typology of rural zones in Tenerife. The results indicate the existence of 12 area types, 3 of which are urban and 9 rural, whose differences are based on the agricultural specialization urbanization patterns.
