Leadership in Learning Organization

Abstract

Business globalization, rapid technological changes, cultural differences, have initiated the necessity of forming learning organizations. These are organizations that develop systemic thinking, shared vision, teamwork, open communication, foster the culture of togetherness, development of employees. The focus of these organizations is constantly supporting and encouraging organizational learning. The paper discusses the role of leader in the creation of a learning organization. Emphasize the following roles: designer, manager, teacher, model, mentor, monitor, and so on. The aim of this paper is to point out the role and importance of leadership skills for the creation the capacity of the organization to learn and by this accomplish high performances.
