Territorialidad campesina y soberanía alimentaria: estudio de caso en el macizo colombiano

Abstract

The struggle to defend their rights and territoriality has been central to the Colombian peasant movement, and the historical experience of the Comité de Integración del Macizo Colombiano (CIMA) in southern Colombia is remarkable. The current article, based on qualitative, descriptive and empirical research, aims to describe, discuss and critically analyze the proposal of peasant territoriality and Food Sovereignty in the North of Nariño and South of Cauca - Colombia, based on the initiative of the Peasant Agri-Food Territory (TECAM), which represents an alternative for the social construction of the territory, as well as a political, economic, cultural and ecological understanding of the peasant movement in the Macizo Colombiano, in a context of socio-territorial conflict exacerbated by the imposition of the neoliberal extractive model with consequences on the territory and the peasant way of life.
