Abstract

The article attempts to indicate the major changes in the domestic and world market of pork and pigs after Poland's accession to the EU. China, the EU and the United States supply more than 80% of world pork production. In 2013 Poland was the 4th pork producer in the EU. Despite the relatively large Polish production of pigs, the sector is not competitive. Poland's accession to the EU has led to more dynamic pork trade. In the studied period from net exporter, Poland has become a net importer of pork products. / Synopsis. W artykule podjęto próbę wskazania najważniejszych zmian na krajowym i światowym rynku wieprzowiny i trzody chlewnej po wstąpieniu Polski do UE. Ponad 80% światowej produkcji wieprzowiny dostarczają Chiny, UE i Stany Zjednoczone. W 2013 r.
