Wartość dodana w łańcuchu dostaw żywności

The last important price changes within the food delivery chain caused a growth of food prices and a higher inflation rate. In the face of those circumstances the activities for improvement of food delivery chain have become very important, since it affects directly all citizens. The analysis have displayed that the global competitiveness of food delivery chain and its growth did not equal the competitiveness and growth of whole economy. In the period of 2003-2008, the dynamics of growth of production in food delivery chain was clearly lower than the changes of production in other sectors of economy. The average growth rate of added value in the food delivery chain sectors was by about 2 per cent lower than the average growth rate in the EU economy. Furthermore, some attention was paid to an uneven distribution of added value between the participants in the food delivery chain. / Synopsis. Odnotowane w ostatnich latach znaczne wahania cen w ramach łańcucha dostaw żywności doprowadziły do wzrostu konsumpcyjnych cen żywności i wyższej inflacji. W takiej sytuacji bardzo ważne stały się działania mające na celu usprawnienie funkcjonowania łańcucha żywnościowego, który bezpośrednio oddziałuje na wszystkich obywateli. Przeprowadzona analiza wskazuje, że ogólna konkurencyjność łańcucha dostaw żywności i jego wzrost nie dorównuje konkurencyjności i wzrostowi całej gospodarki UE. W latach 2003–2008 tempo wzrostu produkcji w łańcuchu dostaw żywności było wyraźnie słabsze w stosunku do zmian produkcji w pozostałych sektorach gospodarki. Średni wzrost wartości dodanej sektorów wchodzących w skład łańcucha dostaw żywności był przeciętnie o 2% rocznie niższy niż średni jej wzrost odnotowywany w UE. Ponadto zwrócono uwagę na nierównomierny podział wartości dodanej między poszczególnymi uczestnikami łańcucha.
