Abstract

The article attempts to present the present situation and the basic information about the state and perspectives of the development of beekeeping in rural areas in Poland with regard to the regional honey varieties. It describes the past and future potential dangers resulting from the initial phase of creation of a niche alimentation market. / Synopsis. Artykuł jest próbą przedstawienia podstawowych informacji na temat stanu i perspektyw rozwoju pszczelarstwa na obszarach wiejskich w Polsce, z uwzględnieniem specyfiki i problematyki miodów regionalnych. Ponadto omawia dotychczasowe korzyści, jak i potencjalne zagrożenia wynikające z początkowej fazy tworzenia się niszowego rynku tejże żywności w kraju.
