Zmiany poziomu przestrzennej koncentracji zatrudnienia w polskich województwach

Abstract

Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja i ocena zmian stopnia koncentracji zatrudnienia w Polsce w układzie wojewódzkim oraz porównanie tempa zmian liczby pracujących w różnych typach powiatów. Do oceny poziomu koncentracji zatrudnienia zastosowano indeks Herfindahla-Hirschmana. Wykorzystano dane GUS pochodzące z Banku Danych Lokalnych. Stwierdzono, że w latach 2005-2016 liczba pracujących najszybciej wzrastała w największych miastach i ich najbliższym otoczeniu. Relatywnie niskie tempo zmian zaobserwowano w mniejszych miastach na prawach powiatu. Przyczyniło się to do wzrostu wartości wskaźnika koncentracji zatrudnienia w 9 województwach.
