Przedsiębiorczość w sektorze biogospodarki jako kierunek zrównoważonego rozwoju lokalnego na obszarach przyrodniczo cennych województwa lubelskiego

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the possibilities of the bioeconomy sector development on environmentally valuable areas of the Lublin Voivodeship. To achieve the goal analyzes of entrepreneurs’ opinions as well as local governments’ were conducted. The strategic documents of local and regional level were also analyzed. From the perspective of surveyed subjects selected local developmental conditions of sectors based on local, natural resources were assessed, including the bioeconomy sector. The study concentrates on the problem of the involvement of local government in supporting the development of bioeconomy sector. To achieve the goal a review of literature and empirical surveys were conducted. The study used the method of diagnostic survey with a questionnaire interview (30) addressed to the mayors of communes and (48) addressed to the owners/coowners or managers of enterprises operating on the environmentally valuable areas and representing the bioeconomy sector. The obtained results indicate that local authorities provide reserved support for the development of entrepreneurship, including the development of selected areas of the bioeconomy. The greater concentration to determining the possibility of the development of selected industries of bioeconomy in local systems and preparing their promotional and informational support, including the base of good practices, is therefore recommended.
