Abstract

The paper investigates into the effects of using mineral fertilizers on the output of commercial plant production farms in 2010 and 2012. Input for the analysis comes Polish Farm Accountancy Data Network. Arable land and fertilizers can be considered two types of capital of different scope of direct effects on plant growth. The land is substitutable by mineral fertilizers, and as comes from the analysis, such substitution in plant production farms is advantageous.
