Abstract

An excess of food traded in developed countries leading to waste of food that could accommodate be used for consumption purposes. Inefficient management of food products, which leads to the fact that the batch of food can no longer be consumed by human beings is also undermining earlier incurred for its production of manpower, irreversible consumption of natural resources and incurring financial costs. The aim of the study was to investigate the behavior of respondents related to the handling of food, which could lead to its eventual wasted. As the results of the study shows in its vast majority of respondents admitted that they sometimes throw food, and pointed as the main reason is overlooking durability.
