Abstract

The main goal of the study was to analyses and assess the system of financial support for the production of legumes between the years 2011 and 2014. The research revealed that the financial support considerably improved the profitability of production of legumes. During the period under study subsidies covered more than 60% of the costs of production of legumes. The share of financial support in the profitability of the crops increased from 2011 to 2013, but in 2014 the situation changed. The amount of subsidies was reduced due to the planned discontinuation of the supplementary subsidy and due to the increase in the area of legumes.
