Evolution des modèles professionnels en agriculture : scènes de débat, questions d'écologie et catégories de connaissances

Abstract

Dans le secteur agricole, à l’heure où plusieurs crises alimentaires récentes ont porté les modes d’élevage industriel à la connaissance des consommateurs, on assiste à un processus de valorisation de l’élevage en prairies en tant que « nouveau » modèle professionnel. L’analyse s’attache à identifier, dans le cas des marais charentais, la façon dont s’installe et opère ce processus de (re)définition des « bons » agriculteurs : par quels jeux d’acteurs, au travers de quels débats et sur quelles scènes de discussion ? L’évolution des systèmes de normes qui fondent l’exercice d’une activité est analysée dans ses interactions avec les configurations socioprofessionnelles propres au monde agricole et les relations avec d’autres acteurs. La situation étudiée illustre de façon exemplaire le fait qu’aujourd’hui la définition des critères de qualification professionnelle n’est plus seulement interne au milieu professionnel agricole. Elle renvoie aussi à un processus de discussion avec de « nouveaux » acteurs qui interviennent autour de et sur l’agriculture.
