Abstract
A tanulási folyamatokat támogató családi szerep vizsgálatára irányuló online, kvantitatív vizsgálatomat a 18-33 éves, pályakezdő, illetve felsőoktatásban tanulmányokat hallgatók körében végeztem el. A családi támogatás, a szándék és a tartalom alapján a családon belüli, fiatal felnőttkori szocializáció (tacit tudás megosztása, tanulása) hozzájárul – többek között a munkaerő-piacon is elvárt – kompetenciák fejlesztéséhez.--------------------------------------------------------------The family as a fundamental unit of society is not only the primary source of values (such as environmental firendliness), but has a significant role in the socialisation of young adults, namely, in the process in which they acquire both tacit and explicit knowledge. The present paper is based on the review of relevant literature and a body of online quantitative research conducted among university students as well as new entrants to the labour market, aged 18-33. The research has been aimed at examining the role of the family in the learning process. The findings show first that Generation Y views society as appreciating tacit knowledge more than explicit knowledge. And second, it turns out that young persons value certain types of knowledge and experience of the elderly, which they would like to learn from them. Owing to family support, individual intent as well as content, adulthood socialisation (sharing and learning tacit knowledge) contributes to mastering competences, even to those expected in the labour market.
