Abstract

Multifunctionality : an overview of OECD work - OECD work on multifunctionality takes place within the context of discussions on agricultural policy reform. The economic analysis of the characteristics of multiple outputs of agriculture, regarding jointness, market failure and the public good nature of such outputs led to a practical definition of multifunctionality. Applying the conceptual analytical framework to empirical studies should yield policy implications.
