Abstract

This paper is based on an assessment of the «Franche- Comté» agri-environmental program. All the French regions' programs were to be assessed with a common methodology, but this one was carried on first Therefore, this material is characterized by its tailor-made methodology, designed to take up the two main challenges of this kind of valuation : their regional scale and their numerous topics of interrogation (ecological, economical, sociological, political). The proposed methodological recommendations about public policy valuation will be based on the results of this work, but also on its gaps. Eventually, it is shown that such type of reflexion should be better combined with advanced thinking on decision-making tools.
