La décollectivisation des campagnes roumaines

Abstract

Poeni is a large village located in the Valachian Plain, 60 km West from Bucarest As in the whole Rumania, Poeni undertook a land redistribution to the former land owners (before the collectivization). These former land owners are very numerous, a high percentage of them living now in towns. The tenures are very small (3 ha) and a great part of them will not be cultivated directly by the new owners, 1991 land law forecasts the possibility of settling new collective exploitations, but these may be ephemeral and their design on the ground is problematic.
