Pratiques agricoles et fertilité du milieu

Abstract

The concept of cropping system is the analysis tool of crop practices for modern agronomist. But, to be able to talk about environment fertility, it is necessary to refer to potentialities and to the technological means which are used. There is not a fertility in itself but in reference to practised cropping systems in a given environment. Through combining crop practices in time and space, farmer's fertility management is dynamic. But new points of view are crucial, on the one hand because of the emergence of bad induced effects (pollution...), on the other hand because requirements about productions quality become widespread. The result is that fertility management answer more and more to constraints external to the farm. It is a very new situation.
