Abstract

As all strong cultural knowledge, trade ideology presents a totalitarian facet. The fact that it garanties indépendance, enables it to express itself outside the production process. We observe this amongst builders when they start their own businesses, assess new markets or contract more labour. It provides a set of rules regulating industrial relations between wage earners and employers or between craftsmen of various trades. It covers the various career paths and is coherent when craftsmen are separated from other kinds of occupations.
