Abstract

In 1964 a network of people taking note of days suitable for farm work in Gascony was set up. Every day for ten years farmers recorded the rainfall and the corresponding possibility of work in 9 types of crop used as references. An analysis of the results thus obtained was carried out. The analysis comprises: a compilation of the year's results over 10 years, a frequential survey of these possibilities of work over 10 years and for the most demanding periods of work, an analysis of the main explanatory variables.
