Abstract

The behaviour of the farmer and other social categories towards saving - The models proposed by modern economists to explain the financial behaviour of all social categories are not entirely satisfactory as far as farmers are concerned. This is explained by the fact that the family and the business are closely lirked and must accumulate the necessary capital. The difference in savings behaviour between farmers and wage-earners has been established by the results of random surveys. The existence of a savings function specific to farmers characterized by high average and marginal propensities to save and by the influence of patrimony on the savings level can be observed.
