Projections agricole à moyen terme: éléments de réflexion sur des méthodes empiriques

Abstract

Within the framework of the work of the Ministry of Planning, the INSEE regularly prepares agricultural projections in the medium term. The empirical methods of the projections, briefly described here, lead to results that it is then interesting to compare to real performance (for instance, projections into 1980, carried out in 1974). Furthermore, they give the main data which allow agriculture to be integrated into the macro-economic models of the INSEE.
