Eléments pour une analyse des perspectives d'évolution de l'aviculture française

Abstract

Technical conditions and production systems are generally thought to follow the same evolution. Therefore, in the case of poultry farming, the generalization of « modern » production techniques should rapidly have led to a homogénéisation of production systems which in France would mean that structures should be transformed in the sense of a drastic farm concentration. In fact, the technical and economic characteristics of this production make it adaptable to all scales and to a wide range of production systems. Furthermore, management methods and the economic regulation of the branch explain why this production is likely to remain within the framework of the family farm according to the same trend as previously.
