Abstract

Our paper deals with the evolution of the financial communication through Internet media for listed companies, in transition economies. Our question of research is: How did this companies use new technologies in the context of an increasing pressure for financial information and communication? Our approach relies on qualitative methods, especially multiple case studies, based on companies listed on the BSE. Our findings suggest the existence of local patterns, which bring new evidence for the research in Internet financial communication issues. Key words: financial communication; financial disclosure; Internet; transition economies.
