Abstract

The article reveals the theoretical implications of de Resource-Based View forunderstanding the firm competitive advantage. The dominant version to analysis ofcompetitive advantage is represented by authors connected to OrganizationalEconomics, which explain the differences (heterogeneity) between firms focusingbehavioral aspects (ways of organization of unique and core resources). Thisapproach takes importance insofar it advances on analysis of the positionalcompetitive advantage based on the performance, in terms of efficiency and efficacy. The notion of sustainable of the competitive advantage implies heterogeneity basedon conditions that assure the firm to retain the specific resources or the ones difficultto be transferred – a competitive advantage dependent on the complex and tacitrestrictions of the protection mechanisms.
