The relevance of governance in how the internet boosts financial inclusion in Sub-Saharan Africa

Abstract

Consistent with the extant literature on the financial inclusion gap in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), the relevance of information technologies in facilitating inclusive financial access potentials is a relatively novel area of research, especially as it concerns providing the population that hitherto did not have access to financial access opportunities with access to financial avenues with which to address both household consumption as well as investment needs (Asongu, 2023). According to the narrative, the importance of SSA is relevant on two main fronts as discussed in the piece.
