Abstract

The built environment can encourage or limit and restrict the behaviour of individuals within that space. A lived-in space is one where the experiences of inhabitants, their interactions and their representations are condensed together. That does not only entail defining a theoretical point of view, but also, and more importantly, reflecting on the criteria for innovation projects and being able to respond to the challenges that the future poses for society.
