Engineering and Municipal Infrastructure as the Most Important Element of Investment Appeal of Regions of Russia

Abstract

The article is devoted to questions of investment appeal of regions of the Russian Federation and dependence of the regional investment climate on factors of social and economic development of the territories. It is shown that a key condition is the fixed improvement of quality of public administration at the regional level including optimization of system of state bodies, including strategic planning, and implementation of modern managerial technologies both at the regional and municipal levels. It is noted that the investments influencing economy of the region and city are investments in development of the territory that in essence assumes new construction on vacant or in the territories which are built up with shabby structures. Therefore, development of engineering and municipal infrastructure will allow increasing appeal of regions to investors. It is noted that economic growth depends on development of infrastructure: the infrastructure allows business to have additional production capabilities, reduces products cost in a production process and transactional expenses
