Dynamic Relationship Between Bist Industrial Index and Industrial Production Index, GEPU, Commercial Loan Interest and Exchange Rate

Abstract

This study focuses on the industrial production index, GEPU, commercial loan interest rate, and exchange rate, which are among the variables that are estimated to have an impact on the bist industrial index. The ardl bounds testing approach was adopted as the methodology for the study. The analysis covers the period september 2017-july 2024, and monthly data for the variables are used. Empirical findings are: industrial production index and exchange rate have a positive effect on the bist industrial index in the long run. In contrast, the gepu index and commercial loan interest rate have a negative impact.
