Eximbank Loans in the Development of Shipbuilding Industry: A Comparison of China and Turkey

Abstract

The study was carried out with the aim of examining the credit and collateral sources provided by the Eximbank of the countries in the shipbuilding industry with the aim of drawing more attention to the sector, both public and private, and contributing to the literatüre. In the study, the current status of the Chinese and Turkish shipbuilding industry, its production capacity, employment and contribution to international trade have been examined. And eximbank credits and policies of both countries for the shipbuilding industry have been evaluated, and proposals have been made to increase medium and long-term credit and financial support items appropriate to the structure of the shipbuilding industry.
