Evaluation of the Financial Performances of IT Sector Companies Listed on the ISE Using the TOPSIS Method

Abstract

In the study, financial performances of twelve Information Technology companies registered on Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) have been analyzed, with TOPSIS method which one of the Multi Criteria Decision Making Techniques, using company financial statements. The method has been applied using eight financial ratios calculated for four periods (between 2007 and 2010) and company performances are evaluated according to the results obtained.
