Financial Structure of Media Corporations and Analysis of Advertising Income Before and After the 2001 Crisis

Abstract

Media corporations have become considerably active in recent years, depending on the developments in communication and technology. Media corporations, just like any other profitgenerating corporation, have their specific financial structure due to sectoral characteristics. Considered drastically important in financial reports, advertising income is indispensable for media corporations to survive. In this article after explication of financial structure and importance of advertising at media corporations; advertising income in media sector during the 3 year period covering before and after 2001 crisis will be analyzed.
