Abstract

In the present work, the activity of the university is analyzed on the basis of unique data of 7000 students from the University of Dubna obtained from the social network VKontakte. For semi-automatic data extraction, special software was developed. The structure and temporal dynamics of a number of indicators are studied such as: demographics of students; geography of the arrival of students, including GIS analysis(visualization); distribution in the areas of study. In conclusion, the prospects for the methodology development are discussed.
