Abstract

A obra procura entender as causas das diferenças existentes no processo de elaboração e evidenciação das demonstrações contábeis. É feita uma comparação entre as normas de diferentes países, além da discussão das normas do IASB, organismo responsável pela harmonização contábil no mundo. Em termos internacionais, o autor apresenta situações de diferentes países, como Estados Unidos, Japão, Holanda, Grã-Bretanha. Ao final de cada capítulo são apresentadas questões para discussões e comentários.
