Abstract

Numa releitura histórica da questão ambiental, mostra-se como os problemas ambientais da sociedade contemporânea advêm de uma antiga relação entre sociedade e ambiente. O autor analisa a mensuração do desenvolvimento sustentável, abordando temas como a percepção ambiental, a necessidade do uso de indicadores, e os principais meios de avaliação ambiental e sustentável. Apesar de aprofundar a questão, reconhece-se a dificuldade de transpor conceitos e utilizá-los através de ferramentas de gestão.
